Wendy & Lisa (briefly known as Girl Bros.) are a music duo consisting of Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman.They began working with Prince in the early 1980s and were part of his band The Revolution.

Released in late 1987, Wendy and Lisa was the debut by Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman after they left Prince's much loved band, the Revolution. Although Sign o' the Times was justifiably heralded as a masterpiece, Melvoin and Coleman both possessed an energy and prowess that some felt was missing from that effort and those that followed.

When Prince dissolved the Revolution in 1986, Wendy and Lisa began work on their self-titled debut, which was issued in '87, and boasted their familiar psychedelic pop/dance hybrid. 1990's EROICA, their third album, found them exploring an alternative rock feel, a direction they continued on in '98 under the moniker Girl Bros. Wendy and Lisa have also worked as session musicians.

Leaving The Revolution behind, Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman focused on their own material with production help from Bobby Z, assisted by Kris Bell and Wendy's twin-sister Susannah - resulting in a masterpiece debut album that walks a thin line between pop's finest and the avant-garde respectfully (of course, don't take the latter for granted, in case you expect "noise" or any similar.

GIRL BROS. Girls in a room full of brothers. Girl Bros. was originally released in 1998, and re-released by Wendy & Lisa in 2009. It has two album cover variants. The original CD release (World Domination Records) was a photo, taken by Tchad Blake, of Wendy & Lisa walking in Downtown L.A.
